Med Spa Protocol Templates: What to Look For

A useful template should do more than provide generic treatment steps. It should be editable, clearly separate each document’s purpose, and make room for the clinic’s providers, products, devices, workflow, safety resources, and approval requirements.

Clinic professionals customizing templates
Protocols, consents, records, aftercare, and safety tools should function as one coordinated documentation system.
Quick answer

Choose a template that is editable, specific enough to guide the service, and structured for clinic-level customization. Before use, compare it with current law, professional scope, manufacturer information, the clinic’s resources, and the approving provider’s clinical decisions.

One treatment, one coordinated package

Choose only the customized protocol when your clinic already has the supporting forms, or choose a complete treatment package when you want the connected documents prepared together. Included documents depend on what is appropriate for the selected treatment and clinic workflow.

  • Clinical treatment protocol or SOP
  • Applicable standing-order framework
  • Patient consent form
  • Intake and eligibility form
  • Treatment record
  • Pre- and post-care instructions
  • Room setup or safety checklist
  • Applicable adverse-event quick guide
  • Clinic logo and contact information
  • Editable Word and polished PDF files
The exact package follows the treatment.

A microneedling package, an IV therapy package, and a GLP-1 package should not contain identical forms. We organize the applicable documents around the selected service rather than filling a generic folder.

Prepared for review, not presented as automatic approval

Each package is customized for your clinic and prepared and quality-checked by a registered nurse with extensive experience supporting U.S. healthcare, aesthetic, and wellness practices. Our preparation standards draw from clinical reference protocols that have undergone medical-director review.

We check the documents for completeness, consistency, and professional presentation. We do not guarantee state compliance or replace independent legal and clinical review. Final approval remains with the purchasing clinic’s qualified medical director or supervising provider.

Frequently asked questions

Can I order more than one protocol?

Yes. Customized Protocol orders can include up to 8 treatments and Complete Treatment Package orders can include up to 5. For larger or ongoing needs, choose 30-Day All Access for $249.

Can you use our clinic’s medications and equipment?

Yes. The intake asks for applicable products, formulations, concentrations, device models, treatment settings, techniques, and workflow preferences. Clinical decisions still require qualified provider review.

Do I receive editable files?

Yes. Delivery includes an editable Word version and a polished PDF version.

What if we want changes to the documents?

Return consolidated comments and recommendations. Up to two consolidated revision rounds are included when requested within 14 calendar days of delivery. Revisions normally take 3–5 business days.

Is the package guaranteed to be compliant in every state?

No. State considerations can be addressed during customization, but final compliance depends on the clinic’s circumstances and current law. Qualified clinical and legal review remains necessary.

Important: MyClinicProtocols provides customizable clinical documentation resources. The materials support-but do not replace-independent clinical judgment, legal advice, licensing and supervision requirements, manufacturer instructions, staff training, or applicable federal, state, and local law.
